Ramaswamy, a businessman born to Indian immigrant parents, has a diverse educational background with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Harvard and a doctorate in law from Yale Law School. After working in investment management, he founded the biopharma portfolio-holding company Roivant Sciences and later co-founded Strive Asset Management. Presenting himself as an anti-woke activist, Ramaswamy declared his candidacy for the GOP primary race in February. Despite his endorsement of Ramaswamy, Ackman’s first-choice candidate for president remains Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan.
