Unstoppable Domains, a digital identity platform, is expanding its Web3 offerings by adding support for Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain endings, according to Coindesk. This development allows users to establish their digital identity on the Ethereum blockchain using .eth domain endings. By simplifying long wallet addresses, users can register more user-friendly names like “me.eth” instead of complex alphanumeric strings.
The main objective of Unstoppable Domains is to attract new users to .eth domains by leveraging the same platform where they already offer other domain endings such as .crypto, .nft, and .polygon. To enhance the ownership experience, Unstoppable Domains is introducing features like auto-renewal for Ethereum-based domains. This eliminates the need for manual renewal, preventing users from potentially losing valuable domain names.
Unstoppable Domains also plans to implement a vault to secure buyers’ domains before linking them to their wallets. Additionally, the platform will support fiat payments, enabling customers to purchase domain endings using credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cryptocurrencies. Unstoppable Domains CEO Matt Gould believes that simplifying the purchase process of .eth domains will attract customers who are not familiar with Web3 technology and prefer managing their Web3 domains in a unified manner.
