Jim Donovan graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1989, and also earned his Master’s in Business Administration from MIT the same year. After completing his education in Boston, jim donovan goldman sachs went on to attend Harvard Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1993.

Professor

Apart from his work at Goldman Sachs, James Donovan is also an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia School of Law. He currently lives in Virginia with his four children.

Induction into Goldman Sachs

Following his graduation from Harvard, he started working at Goldman, Sachs, and Co. as a Managing Director, a position he still holds today. Jim became a partner at the company in 2000 and has since been providing investment banking advice to large corporations.
